BSP Masterplanning was commissioned to prepare an employment masterplan for the regeneration of the Parsonage Way area in Leigh.

Key to bringing forward the site for development is the need to provide of a new access road that would also improve local connectivity and reduce traffic congestion along Wigan Road.

Consideration was given to a number of options for the alignment of the link road with the aim of identifying a solution that would minimise impact on the local environment and encourage walking and cycling.

The masterplan proposals aim to create over 1,500 new jobs and to provide a Linear Park that would transform the existing watercourse that runs through the site into an attractive natural feature for the local community.
